Sacramento’s Top Roller Derby Teams Unify as Sacramento Roller Derby
Sacramento, CA: Sac City Rollers and Sacred City Derby Girls, Sacramento's preeminent roller derby teams, announced their unification in October and today announce their new name and logo. The two teams will be uniting under the name Sacramento Roller Derby. The new league’s branding symbolizes the spirit of roller derby and California. They have chosen the California Grizzly Bear as their logo for its embodiment of strength and fortitude, and the color navy blue, one of California’s two state colors.
“Creating a branding package for the unified league was a unique opportunity. It gave our skaters, volunteers, and fans the chance to really think about what roller derby in Sacramento means to them. We are excited for our inaugural season and the future of Sacramento Roller Derby”, said Natalie Smith, Marketing Director of Sacramento Roller Derby.
Sacramento Roller Derby will have its debut game on February 10th, 2018 at The Rink in Sacramento.
Sacramento Roller Derby thanks the community for their continued support.
