Roller derby is a full contact sport that requires medical oversight! Becoming a medic is a great way to be part of the derby community. Our talented medic crew ensures the safety of the skaters.

We Need Professional Medical Staff (PMS):

  • Current BLS:

    • American Red Cross 

    • American Heart Association

  • Certified First Responders

  • Physicians (MD or DO)

  • Athletic Trainers with CPR Training

  • Paramedic/EMT

  • Registered Nurses

  • Licensed Vocational  Nurses

  • Nurse Practitioners

  • Physician Assistants

We need Volunteer Safety Staff (VSS):

More Details:

  • Average medic shift is around 1.5 hours.

  • All events require two medics on duty!

  • Shadowing/training available!

  • Medical supplies provided.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older!

  • Assess and provide basic first aid only

    • If care exceeds basic measures we call 911 or encourage transport via personal vehicle.

  • Electronic medic scheduling via Gsheet
